Concierge and wayfinding
Concierge and wayfinding volunteer are the friendly faces that helps people feel calm, supported and confident the moment they arrive at the hospital.
Hospitals can feel overwhelming, especially for people who are anxious, unwell or visiting loved ones.
Concierge and wayfinding volunteers provide a warm welcome and essential guidance to patients, visitors, and staff at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
This role is perfect for people who enjoy helping others, love friendly conversation and want to make a meaningful difference in someone’s day.
As a concierge and wayfinding volunteer, you will help create a smooth, stress free experience for everyone entering the hospital.
Responsibilities may include:
- offering a friendly greeting to patients, visitors and staff,
- providing clear directions for outpatient appointments, wards and clinics,
- escorting visitors or patients to their destination when needed, and
- arranging wheelchair or buggy transport to help people move comfortably around the hospital.
Morning and afternoon shifts are available Monday to Friday, with options for:
- 8.30am to 12.30pm
- 12pm to 4pm
