Congratulations to our March Employee of the Month Award winner, Kirsty Vella, Theatre Clerk at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

Kirsty was nominated for this award by Robert Scullen, Administrative Officer Surgical Services, who said Kirsty is a loyal, dedicated and reliable employee who consistently provides an exceptionally high level of service. Kirsty has a calm, mature personality and regularly receives excellent feedback.

During the past 12 months, Kirsty has provided leave cover for most of the Administrative Assistants in the department and learned a variety of new skills. Her performance has been nothing short of outstanding which has enabled each department to continue to maintain their excellent service, and heads of departments and clinicians to devote more time to clinical rather than clerical issues.

Kirsty lives the NMHS values of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork and Integrity.

Kirsty is a caring person and always put patients first and foremost. She is respectful and has earned the respect of heads of departments and colleagues for her can-do attitude and calm manner. Kirsty is innovative and resourceful with a personality that is a great fit in many different environments. She has proven herself as an essential team member who takes pride in her work and consistently has an excellent attitude and work ethic.

She is hardworking, honest and can be trusted to carry out any work given to a high standard. She readily accepts responsibility and is always one of the first to volunteer to help others.

Congratulations Kirsty, you deserve this recognition! Clearly, the judges were impressed and also agreed!

Kirsty and her colleagues celebrated at a morning tea where she was presented with a $150 gift voucher from our sponsors.
