Simulation Instructors Modular Advanced Course (SIMAC)

The Simulation Instructors Modular Advanced Course (SIMAC) is a course that uniquely combines the expertise of different simulation instructors across various disciplines. Participants work in small groups with close instructor interaction allowing exposure to a broad background of teaching and simulation experiences. Emphasis is placed on providing a mixture of theory and practical experiences to allow for learning in a safe and stimulating environment. This course is an ANZCA-accredited generic instructor course.

The course aims to:

• enable participants to use simulation-based workshops for teaching purposes
• improve participants' teaching skills
• prepare a short workshop and effectively teach a small group at the end of the course.

• SIMAC 1st round: Feb 16, 20, Mar 1, 5, 12, 19, 22
• SIMAC 2nd round: Aug 9, 13, 20, 23, Sept 3, 10, 13
