Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Simulation CentreThe Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) is an internationally accredited course that is conducted in over 14 countries.

This course is a dynamic and interactive two-day program that delivers core trauma knowledge and skills necessary for the care and management of the severely injured patient.

The course teaches nurses to rapidly and accurately assess the trauma patient for life threatening injuries and intervene as necessary.

Whilst primarily a trauma course the knowledge and skills gained from attending this course can be applied to all areas of nursing.

  • Renewal course
  • Instructor course

Eligibility

To attend a TNCC course, it is highly recommended that participants possess:

  • At least 6 months clinical nursing experience in an emergency care or trauma related setting
  • An understanding of emergency care terminology
  • Familiarity with standard emergency equipment.
