Any Problems?

Our aim is to ensure that your association with the hospital meets your expectations of quality service. If you have any concerns, please feel free to discuss them in the first instance with your consulting doctor or the primary nurse responsible for your care. The hospital’s Patient Liaison Officer is also available to assist you. If you do need help with any matter you have been unable to resolve, this officer would like to hear from you.

Suggestions

The hospital welcomes suggestions on ways to improve the services we provide. Patient satisfaction survey forms are available at the main entrances, the Outpatient Department and other public areas.

We have a Community Advisory Council which meets regularly and welcomes suggestions. Members can be contacted via the Heart and Lung CSU Nurse Co- Director who is a member of the Council.

Commitment To Continuous Quality Improvement

The hospital has entered the Australian Council on Health Care Standards Evaluation and Quality Improvement Program (EQuIP), which involves establishing accountability mechanisms that will assist SCGH to demonstrate outcomes and help focus on providing quality care and services to patients.

Effective use of EQuIP requires the hospital to be committed to improving its performance. This is an essential element for success. EQuIP will assist ensuring SCGH improves its overall performance, has strong leadership, a culture of continuous quality improvement and a focus on customers and outcomes through the implementation of the Strategic Plan.

The components of the EQuIP program are: organisation-wide survey; self-assessment support; periodic review; a quality action plan and ACHS Accreditation.

The Hospital is served by a number of bus services:

23, 24, 25 Perth – Claremont

103 Fremantle – Salter Point, via St. Georges Terrace.

97 the Subiaco Shuttle, running between Subiaco Railway Station and University of Western Australia in Crawley.

98 and 99 Circle route, runs every 15 minutes between 6.30am and 6pm Monday through Friday, at other frequencies outside these hours.

Bus stops are located in Hospital Avenue near the entrances to C Block, E Block, J and K Blocks. Print timetables are available at E Block and G Block reception areas; timetables and journey planners are also available online.

Taxi Services

A taxi rank is located in Hospital Avenue opposite B Block. There are free taxi phones at E Block and G Block reception areas.

Car Parking

Parking for patients and visitors is available in

Limited short-term parking is available near the entrances to A, B, C, E and G blocks for setting down and collecting patients. The parking is for short periods. Please read parking signs for details.

Patient Transport

SCGH Patient Transport Service may be able to assist if you have difficulty in arranging transport to attend outpatient clinic appointments at the Hospital. The service is available 6.30am – 4pm Monday to Thursday, and between 6.30am and 3.30pm on Friday. Services are not available on public holidays or weekends.

BankWest Buggy
