Centre for Nursing Education
Services We Offer
The Centre for Nursing Education (CNE) offers a wide range of services which primarily focuses on education, clinical support and professional development, to the nursing staff of Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
The CNE recognises the individual nurse is an adult learner with a responsibility to develop and maintain their own expertise, identify their own learning needs and take the initiative to meet those needs.
To support the nurses learning needs and improve patient care, the CNE provides opportunities for the acquisition of knowledge, skill, and behaviours in view of advancing technology, changing health care delivery systems, and advances in clinical research and practice. The education programs provide all levels of learners with opportunities for professional development.
