HUMAN RESEARCH ETHICS COMMITTEE
All research at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital requires approval by the Sir Charles Gairdner Human Research Ethics Committee.
The Sir Charles Gairdner Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) was established in 1997 to review research applications involving human participants in accordance with the National Health and Medical Research Council National Statement (1999) guidelines.
The SCGH HREC website contains all the relevant forms, guidelines and legislation to assist researchers in preparing new applications and in submitting documentation for ongoing studies.
