Services We Offer

The Sir Charles Gairdner Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2007 – 2012 is finalised and is now available for comment by downloading from this web address or by calling (08) 9346 3454. Alternative formats are available on request.

Examples of specific services we provide

Taxis: Taxi phones are located within the hospital, and the main taxi rank is located outside B Block on Hospital Avenue.

Toilets: Universally accessible toilets are located at different points through the hospital. Some locations include: Admissions/discharges, ED, G Block (5th, 6th, 7th Floors), E Block (Ground Floor).

A payphone TTY is located at the main entrance of G Block, next to the other telephones. Access to special telephone aids can be made available for patients for additional assistance:

Water fountains: Universally accessible water fountains are located at the front of G Block

Information brochures or documents can be made available in alternative formats such as computer disc, audiotape or Braille, on request for a person with a disability.
