Every year Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital has 60,000 Emergency Department presentations, admits more than 93,000 patients and has more than half a million outpatient visits.
SCGH is a publicly-funded hospital. Patients who are eligible for Medicare receive free treatment. Patients who are not eligible for Medicare are required to pay for treatment. Information about Medicare eligibility is available at www.medicare.gov.au
