	The 6PR Sir Charles Gairdner Research Foundation fundraising appeal for a piece of the latest hi-tech equipment for the ICU has built on the overwhelming success of the original on-line auction and all day ‘on-air’ broadcast appeal.  We are overjoyed to be able to share with you the news that, after a dinner and Auction held at the wonderful Friends Restaurant we have now raised the entire $120,000.00 required for the purchase of a new Ultrasound machine. Once again our thanks go out to the many, many people who worked so hard and dug so deep.

Some of the greatest medical breakthroughs have come at the hands of clinical researchers: dedicated doctors, nurses, specialists and allied health professionals at the frontline of patient care in hospitals.

SCGH has over 5,000 staff.  Many of these are doing research, formally and informally, and many more would like to explore ways of doing their job better, improving all our lives

Research costs money and The Sir Charles Gairdner Research Foundation is the catalyst for driving research forward throughout the hospital campus. We bring together our clinical leaders, community leaders, friends and donors to ensure that the funds are available for research - the research that could even help you or a loved one some day
