The Emergency Department at SCGH provides a 24/hr day emergency service for adult patients and is accredited with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine for training.
In total there are 18 Consultants, 20 training registrars and 24 residents medical officers/interns.
The department provides a full range of adult tertiary specialties and has a particular focus on ultrasound, toxicology and toxinology with close links to the Western Australian Poisons Information Centre.
The department prefers GPs to telephone on 9346 4266 to speak to the duty doctor about the patients they propose to send in.
