Charlies Alumni (Inc) is an association of certain current and former staff and volunteers from SCGH.  The Alumni organises events throughout the year to enable former colleagues to keep in touch with each other and current staff and to keep abreast of developments at SCGH.

The Alumni also works to preserve the history of SCGH and produced a major book on the history of the Hospital to coincide with the 50th anniversary of its opening in 2008. Order your copy here.

Membership of the Alumni costs $22 per year and is automatically open to current staff and volunteers with 5 or more years service, and former staff and volunteers with three or more years service. “Staff” includes university staff based at SCGH, members of the Board of Management, spouses and partners of the foregoing, and some others.  Anyone with an interest in being a member (eg staff members of other organisations at the QEIIMC) can apply to become a member.  All nurses who undertook their basic training at the SCGH School of Nursing are also automatically eligible.
